Amazing grace [OPEN]

Her eyes were slowly closing as the she-cat was almost falling asleep, until a voice interrupted her. Dovekit opened her icy blue eyes again, a happy glint in them, and smiled politely. At the question of the apprentice, she shook her head. "No, not at all.", answered Dovekit with her satin voice. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're name is Bluepaw, isn't it?" She remembered seeing her with the other apprentices when she looked from the nursery to the camp. She had followed their conversations to try and remember all their names, and it seemed to pay of now.

The kitten smiled at that. She new she recognized her from something else than just watching the apprentices. The calico licked her front paw once and settled a bit better at the rock, so she could talk to Bluepaw without looking bored or anything. "Ah, yes, I know. Just asking to be sure.", she answered, not wanting her to knew she kind of forgot her. That was never something cats liked to hear. "So, do you like being an apprentice so far? I can't wait until I'm an apprentice myself, so I can prove myself to the clan.", she asked, not only because she wanted to be polite, but also because she wanted to know.

The calico nodded, a small smile graced her snout as the apprentice puffed out a bit in her excitement. Her voice was apparently louder than she had expected, something cats seemed to do a lot around her - speaking louder than normally, that is. Her eyebrows went up a bit in surprise when Bluepaw asked her if she wanted to share her shrew. She hesitated a bit, but jumped gracefully from her stone to sit next to the she-cat on the ground. "If.. That's alright for you.", Dovekit answered, a bit hesitant. "I've never eaten freshkill before.."

The young calico nodded, still a bit hesitant, and took a tiny step forward, towards the shrew. Bluepaw was chewing on a bite and seemed to like it, so Dovekit opened her snout and took a bite of the prey. It was kind of soft and very juicy, and the calico had to admit she liked to taste of it. It was a whole other taste than mothermilk, the only thing she had really tasted, and she could sure get used to it. Pushing the shrew just that tiny bit back to Bluepaw, she nodded. Dovekit swallowed the bite and smiled lightly. "I like it.", she said bluntly, trying not to lick her lips because that wouldn't be polite, would it?
