CUSTOM BIOGRAPHIES

We know that sometimes, you want to do something special with your character, and go into as much detail as possible about absolutely everything, and do things the way you want. The normal forms don't always offer the best way of going about it the way you want. That's fine! We do have the development board which should be the primary way you expand the way you'd like and have fun about your characters in. But sometimes, the biography itself makes the most sense.

Using a custom biography means you are not using any of the provided forms, nor one that comes from a resource site like gangnam style or adoxography. It is a space completely of your own, designed by you, or using a very very very special code someone made only for you. It doesn't need to be in piles of code and tables, but, it's highly likely if you're going this option you have one in mind.

However, to use one of these forms, rather than a default, we are expecting a lot from you. We're expecting you to completely knock us off our feet with something unrivalled. So, in order to have one of these accepted, you need to meet the following requirements when a staff member looks at the biography.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are making an audition using a custom form, be aware you will not get extra time to finish if a deadline has been set. You've taken on such a task, that it is still expected that you will complete it on time like everyone else. If you are not confident in your ability to finish in time, use an existing form.

• You whole biography (including code) must be well and truly over 3500 words long. It should be a monster of length and detail. We will be checking this, especially if it doesn't look all that long. Just under isn't good enough here.

• Every field in the regular biography needs to be clear and explicit. Which means we expect a clear identification of name, name reason, gender, age, rank, clan, appearance, image credits where due, sexuality, important points, names of family members, personality and history. If we cannot identify these things, you will need to fix them before acceptance.

• Your font size cannot be smaller than the default 11px of the forum! We have it this size for a reason. Your font should also be readable in the size you choose to work with. If staff are having difficulties, you will be asked to make it bigger or change the font. Keep those with poor eyesight in mind.

• Your use of colour should be clear, and non-clashing! Everyone should be able to read it without issue. If there are clashing colours and elements, you will be asked to change it. I recommend if you are going to change the font colour, you make sure you change the background too, as when a skin change happens both of these will be changed and may throw off your form for the future.

• Most importantly, we are going to be incredibly picky here! If we can't see your character's personality in what you're providing, or don't feel there are enough flaws, we're going to pull you up. If your history isn't realistic or match the cats of your clan, you will be pulled up. If you're going into this much detail, we're expecting you've read the biographies of your high ranks and making your character match. Any confusion, issues big or small, we're going to point out and request changes to. So if you're going for this option, we expect you to be as on the ball as possible.

• Finally, you must make sure that any permissions with the character are sorted before you start. Check the rules for what needs permission carefully. If you start a biography of this kind before getting permission for the character, we will ask you to do another form, as we won't feel as though you've read our rules and checked the site throughout before making your character. If you're uncertain if you need permission, be on the safe side and PM skyy and her socks , or any clan leaders involved.
