The big striped kit took a quick look around, making sure that no adult was watching what he was about to do. Well. He and his brother. When Tigerkit was certain that the coast was clear, he squeezed under the bramble curtain that was protecting the camp. He'd been planning this all day. Really as soon as he'd seen that the thicket had an escape route, he'd been searching for a time to get away. Not on his own, of course. Silentkit had made sure of that. He'd somehow gotten wind of the fact that Tigerkit had something on his mind, and then there was no question about it. Tigerkit was taking him out on an adventure.
The kit winced a little as he scooted through. He was sure that Silentkit would make it under just fine, but the spiky plants were just a little too low to the ground for him. When he was finally free, he turned, red and black fur ruffled, and ducked his head to peer under at Silentkit, giving him a comment that only a true brother could muster.
"You better live up to that name. even if the brambles scratch ya!" He (rather ironically) hissed, lashing his tail. But oh, that whipping tail was a sign of excitement! Green eyes flashed mischievously as he spoke, and little daydreams wisped through his naive little head.

Perhaps they'd catch a real live mouse or something when they were out! Or meet something dangerous...and get away with a story to tell, of course. Or maybe they would just play, free from hovering mothers, to their hearts content.
"Hurry up, Silentkit!" Tigerkit knew that his brother would hurry. He did. But he just had to say it, he had to share his excitement with his sibling. Surely he would understand.
