[attr="class","mpcontent"] seemed like it rained a lot lately.
the pretty pointed she-cat stretched across her napping place, muzzle deep in the moist earth, her eyes not-quite-closed and exposing her third lid beneath. the air was humid today, signalling the coming of a storm. morningpaw, careless as an apprentice could afford to be, payed no mind; she was quite enjoying her brief nap beneath the grey skies. or, she had been. now, as the tips of her whiskers began to feel thick and icky, she was beginning to shake from her unconscious state, too uncomfortable to continue sleeping.
groggily, the apprentice raised her head, her inner eyelid peeling back with ease over youthful (but half-lidded) blue eyes. she felt icky all over, but for the moment was too tired to do anything about it. euck, what could it be? the more she became aware of herself, the more aware she became aware just how overwhelming this feeling was. but her fur was clean, she didn't feel any weight on her back; what in starclan was going on?
with renewed energy, morningpaw looked all around her in mild alarm, searching for the culprit of her gross feelings. she flicked her tail about both ways, bent her body clockwise and counter-clockwise to check out her hind paws and rump, confused. all clean. except...
morningpaw stopped, placed her paws evenly back on the muddy floor of camp. muddy. seemed like it rained a lot, lately.
...
well! then! alright!! she wasn't sure where to go from here.
actually, getting out of the mud was a good place to start. get out of the mud, clean her dirt-sodded whiskers off, and then... and then see where to go from there. did anyone else know how to clean mud off your pelt without getting a mouthfull of mud in their mouth? maybe she could take a dip somewhere...
honestly, thought morningpaw, she'd be lucky if no one saw her like this at all.
