If there was a cat that had been there, right under your nose, everyday of your life, and you never noticed him before, it would probably be this cat. Snakefang is not very social, he's actually quite anxious, and never got a chance to socialize with other cats well as a kitten, so he has a hard time connecting with other cats on an interpersonal level. He see his life as a duty, as he is a weapon honed for his clan to use. His father fostered an intense military-esque mindset into him, but deep down he's a philosophical soul who wishes to love others. He believes, however, because he's so dull, that his only worth to his clanmates is his ability to fight for them. He himself thinks that he's boring, and his clan only reinforces that. For him, I'm looking for friends, some quarrels and a chance at love.

Gentle. Kind. Non-confrontational. Logical. Thoughtful. Anxious. Vogue. That is about the consistancy of Jayfur's personality. He is a perfectionist, he is vain, he is selfish. He's also loyal to those whom he deems worthy of his attentions, but he hides behind a mask of vanity and snark to keep cats away from his heart. He is beautiful, he's a great hunter, he's an excellent fighter, and yet he recognizes none of those good traits. All his arrogance is a mask of intense insecurity and a wanton desire to belong. He sees the banter of other cats and tries to emulate it, often with too much venom. What Jayfur truly needs is a group of cats to care about him and to support him in whoever he decides to be. For him, I'm looking for RIVERCLAN & THUNDERCLAN cats, River friends, Thunder enemies. I plan on moving him from one clan to another, based on some form of motivation, and I want the motivation in the form of friends and enemies. Eveningstep x Snakefang

Eveningstep is an extremely shy and skittish female in Shadowclan. While she has found love with Stormfrost I think her and Snake could get along simply because of their more... Antisocial nature. While they might not connect instantly I think in the end they'd work well.

I like that sound of that! I feel like a shy cat would help him feel more comfortable opening up and as a friend he's really loyal and I feel like he 'd turn into a big brother of sorts lol I'm definately down to thread and see how they like eachother. I actually have an open Threa in the Marshes if you want to join that one or we can make a new one c: sorry for any spelling mistakes I'm on mobile right now

yo so we already have a thread going on with these two and shiny's doverain but i can feel that they could probably have an interesting dynamic going on!! since snake is the more reserved and kind of ~mysterious of the two, lynxchaser would certainly have a fun time trying to get something out of him you know??? obvious flirting, challenging, anything to get a rise from him?? idk how they'd end up after that but it's certainly interesting

oooomg pls meet my hippie punk flowerchild orchid!!! she will literally seek out snakefang just to sweetly put flowers in his fur and bring him odd trinkets and the like """"for good luck"""" like?? she has a Not So Good work ethic and tends to be on the lazier easily distracted end so snake could be a lil thrown off about that but??? idk maybe orchid could learn a thing or two from him?????? like he can trick her into doing Warrior Things with him in return for tagging along on orchid's rly strange expeditions about magical fairies and majestic creatures aka deer

romeo/snakefang
so romeo is involved in the rogue plot with shc/wc and is part of laughing jack's elite gang??? he acts as the bait for lj's targets (hes blind/skinny/helpless-looking and has an androgynous thing going on as he is hermaphrodite and is ~genderfluid tho identifies as male) and roams around the clans looking out for next victims much frequently than the others so maybe a run in happens??? hes hella reserved and secretive af even more so than snakefang and lies to do his job so irdk what would happen but i thought i'd throw it out there!!

Okay, so I honestly think they're dynamic is amazing. Lynxchaser both pushes Snakefang's buttons and also he somewhat infatuates Snakefang. I can see Snake getting frustrated with Lynxchaser because Lynx is so pretty and Snake obvi is like this bro is so out of my league and i want to love him but instead im gonna be mad, you know, big ol' crush on him. I feel like that's what's happening rn and I love it and I want to see more of it.

Orchid x Snake
I think Snakefang would love her alot because she'd remind him of his mother, who instilled this intense sense of wonder in him, but he was never allowed to be curious or to do silly stuff because of his father. Now that his father's gone, i could see him like going around to her and being like 'im gonna make you go on patrol with me' and then once they get out there just be like 'okay now put flowers in my hair and tell me stories' kind of deal, and she'd help him open up alot, which would be totally fun. Also she's tiny and he's huge and they would be a funny pair to see together.

So Snake has like a self-righteous sort of mindset and is 100% the type that would be like 'omg you're blind, come let me take you back to my clan, teach you our ways, make you one of us and take care of you' and i feel like romeo could use that to manipulate the hell out of him and i feel like it would be a really fun thread to have, so we should definately go for that. especially because snakefang literally doesnt care about the ban on leaving camp along cuz he's so confident in his fighting skills.

aurum i was gonna PM all this to you but i was silly and didnt. also, sybil & Aurum, if either of you want to hop into this thread, it would work well for any of these characters to begin interacting. I just want someone to pull this bae out the mud hurr

This announcement is being made with an extremely heavy heart, and we know it may not be a popular one. However, Alee and I have made the decision that we are going to be closing Chasing the Sun by the end of the month. Originally, we were going to wait till the end of the activity check before making the call either way, as no doubt some of you picked up from my introduction to the check itself. But, after seeing some of the most recent hiatuses and their updates, and talking with a few members who will not be continuing on the site, we’ve decided at this stage in time, it’s the right time to bring things to a close.

Chasing the Sun is a play-by-post roleplay based on the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. We are set in the original forest in an alternative universe from the books, where SkyClan were never forced from the forest and the characters we have known and loved have not existed. We have a 150-word minimum and a sandbox roleplay setting that does not have an overarching plot, only those that members form together. The world is there to shape by the characters than inhabit it, growing the forest into something unique from what we have seen before. THUNDERCLAN VERSES BADGERS
Due to a change of high ranks that is to take place, this plot has been updated and modified. if you were originally involved, please make sure to check the thread and voice if you still want involvement as soon as possible! The Forest Prince is the the current thread leading into the start of this plot.

WIND/SHADOW VERSES ROGUES
Redstar, Rosestar and their fellow high ranks of WindClan and ShadowClan have met on the border of the clans and formed a truce, after it has become aware that a group of rogues has become a threat. Both leaders have addressed this issue in their clan meetings, with Rosestar setting the rule that until the rogues have been dealt with, cats are not to leave camp alone.

WINDCLAN - MEDICINE CAT PLOT
A significant change has taken place in the direction of this plot, and the main post has now been edited to reflect such. We are still looking for WindClan cats to be involved, so if you have a cat you’d like to have something happen to, places are still open.

SKYCLAN VERSES RIVERCLAN
With the border clash narrowly avoided by Pinestar’s intervention, steam has yet to ease, as the SkyClan patrol stand in camp to address the clan getting too ambitious. Meanwhile, with the change in leadership of RiverClan causing discomfort across the clan, there is no doubt that everyone is on edge. Another clash is imminent.
