Hi All!
So first and foremost, welcome, and thank you to absolutely everyone who’s decided to join us in these first few days! It means the absolute world that you’ve all decided we’re good enough to give a chance, and you’re all developing this place into something special, so thank you!
Just a few general updates and reminders here, so please make sure you read everything thoroughly.
• Rule Updates [thread]
There have been two clarification rules added, while neither will affect many members, it is simply to make sure they are there and obvious:
• High Rank Auditions – Intention to Audition [thread]
If you are intending to apply for a high rank in the auditions, especially if there is already one audition finished and present, please either post a work in progress biography in the thread itself, or contact me by private means to alert of your intent to audition. These auditions can and usually will be finished and a winner announced as soon as there are two biographies finished, and will only have a deadline attached if there are work in progresses waiting to be finished, or someone has alerted of intent and have yet to post their biography.
• Staff Auditions – Advertising Moderator Needed [thread]
We have now had four people interested in the character moderator position, and a decision is pending, so no more interest will be accepted for the position. However, we have yet to have a single peep about advertising moderating. If you are at all interested, send me a PM and we can have a chat about it!
• Character Appearances
This is just a general clarification. I’ve been getting a lot of questions about male tortoiseshells/calicos and other appearances that are usually monitored by a store or some sort of system. There is no rules or permission needed currently involving rare pelt colours, purebreds, or the like. Just keep in mind that if we get a flood of them, bans may be placed, so use them sparingly.
• RiverClan Highly Discouraged
Jeez guys, RiverClan went from out least popular clan to the most. Please try and avoid cats in this clan right now. I don’t want to put a ban on it currently, but please try and give ShadowClan, SkyClan and WindClan some love!
• Plot Threads and Adoption Threads
If you’ve got a character, even a work in progress, do not forget to get a plot thread and adoption thread up! It’s the best way of getting people to plot with you, by giving them a platform to look and what you have and what you’re looking to do. Now’s the time while everyone’s excited and keen. Also, please do not rely on other people to come to you! Do a bit of searching and replying to others as well.
• Reminder – Characters That Need Permission / Are Banned [thread]
I’ve seen mentioned in the cbox here and there some types of characters that are either banned from the site, or who need permission. Now we have our clan leaders, this will be enforced on future biographies.
A character that needs permission will not be accepted unless they are discussed with me first. It is also important that you check the Clan Information thread before you make a character that has joined the clan within the leader’s reign, as both the time the leader has been in power, and the leader’s views on if they’d even accept your cat are there. If you are within the leader’s reign, you’ll need to send a shared PM to the clan’s leader and myself, explaining you want them to have joined the clan, and how, so we can discuss it and make sure the leader may have permitted it.
