twolegs are funny, orchidtuft thought as she gazed at the daunting black scar that cut straight through the forest - the thunderpath. they look so weird, and they drive those super noisy monster-whatevers all the time around here. can twolegs understand me? maybe if i ask them why they let those monsters eat them up and carry them around in their bellies, they'll answer me. well.. if i even find a twoleg today. an inquisitive expression masked the short-legged warrior's face. she knew encountering the tall, weird creatures was dangerous by accident. to do so willingly was to carry out your own death sentence. even staying near the thunderpath for no reason was risking it. a twoleg could easily come around and snatch orchidtuft before she could react. that didn't stop her, though. eyes wide, tail hung low and relaxed, orchidtuft trotted along the edges of the thunderpath.
"the thunderpath stinks," she noted out loud with a wrinkle of her nose. the black thing stretched on all the way to where thunderclan's territory started, and then on and on to the side to starclan-knows-where. compared to its gargantuan size and seemingly infinite length, orchidtuft was ant-sized. many a time, orchidtuft had wanted to walk down it, to where all the monsters and twolegs go, to see if the stories she had heard as a small kitten were true. her loyalties to shadowclan - and multiple clanmates physically holding her by the tail - kept her from going and walking and never turning back. she pouted at that. what's so bad about it? maybe not all twolegs are bad... she took a tentative step closer, and her paw inched out slowly. just one step, then she'd be on the thunderpath and seeking out her answers. one step...
the forest behind her rustled with the arrival of another cat. orchidtuft paid no mind. "it's the thunderpath. no big deal, right?" she murmured to herself.
(dear god someone save orchid from killing herself pls thank u)
