[attr="class","extrlo"]despite the fact that weasel pretty much dislikes everyone in his clan, there is always room for friends. these friends may not be super close to him, or have a particular interest in his wellbeing, but simply those who enjoy hutning/patrolling with him cause he gets the job done. also, frenemies are fantastic and I'm addicted to making his life miserable. so throw a couple of those into the mix to really get some drama flowing in his life. however, weasel has begun to feel more and more lonely as he realizes that he is an outcast. if someone were stubborn enough and could get past all of his faults, they'd find a pretty damn loyal friend in him.

[attr="class","extrlo"]weaselstrike is one of those cats that pretty much has a strong dislike for anyone of authority. the only cats who can get away with bossing him around are medicine cats, because he feels they actually deserve the respect they are given. now that being said, younger cats that try to act all tough and intimidating are likely to get a few choice words and a one way ticket onto his shit list. needless to say, anyone who doesn't fall under the way weasel thinks they should be, are more than likely to end up an enemy.

[attr="class","extrlo"]there will be a point in time where weaselstrike will probably want to become a father. however, the amount of patience and back bone that she-cat will need will be astronomical. he’s a hard nut to crack, but he’d probably make an okay dad, but that there are no guarantees

[attr="class","extrlo"]lilypaw is an absolute doll and would do anything for her friends. she will go out of her way to spend time with them and she loves to joke around and just have a good time. she is a little chatterbox, so as long as you can handle the fact that she never shuts up, you will have made a friend for life. the she-cat understands the warrior code, but she sees no harm in being close friends with cats outside of the clan. as she gets older though, she will begin to see the issues with this. so this could be fun to play around with.

[attr="class","extrlo"]lily asks a lot of questions, and can have quite the attitude problem. this is sure to win her some cats that dislike her. more intense enemies would probably come into light as she gets older, but I wouldn’t mind getting some groundwork down to really mess with the poor cats life.

[attr="class","extrlo"]lilypaw is bisexual, but she doesn’t really understand what that means or why she feels butterflies in her stomach sometimes with both toms and she-cats. this will be a whirlwind of emotion for her, so a couple of cats that she develops crush’s on would be awesome so that she can have a little bit more drama and inner turmoil to deal with.

[attr="class","extrlo"]the fact that birchfrost is probably one of the least social cats in all of the clans would probably be a pretty good indicator of the amount of friends that he has. however, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t want them! no, throw all your cats at him and love him. he would enjoy that so much! just kidding. birchfrost isn’t exactly friendly, and has some issues getting close to anyone, but with a lot of hard work, and I mean, a lot, you might be able to friend him.

[attr="class","extrlo"]birchfrost keeps his mouth shut 99.9% of the time, unless he really has something important to say. this can come off as very cold, and other times extremely smug, as if he thinks he is better than everyone else. with that in mind, he’s kind of like the mean girl that will smile at you, and then think mean things about you as soon as you open your mouth. he doesn’t take kindly to mouthy cats, and anyone who downplays the dangers of the river, are bound to be on his shit list. he doesn’t like bullies, and though he isn’t really the kind of cat to get involved in disputes, chances are if you are being a jerk to someone, he would step in and shut you up, and win yourself a one way ticket into enemyville.

[attr="class","extrlo"]I wouldn’t mind if at some point, the tom finds a cat to open up to and learn that its okay to love fully. he is pretty guarded, but in his heart of hearts, he wants to have a mate. his father wanted nothing to do with them, and to this day, he still isn’t sure who is father is, except that he is a clan member. that’s something he wants to rectify as a parents. please give him some love.

Foxpaw is my newest character, my only SkyClanner, and is currently friendless! Between her bossy nature and Lilypaw's slight attitude problem, they might clash from time to time, but they;re both loyal and both chatty, so most other times they should get along well! Lilypaw's also two moons older than Fox, so Fox will probably idolize her somewhat.

Based on their thread together, I think these two do have a pretty interesting dynamic! Whitewater is patient and fair, and acts almost fatherly to cats younger than himself. He'd see Birchfrost as a little troubled, and would try to help him out as best as he could. I don't know about anything major, but maybe White could act as a sort of unofficial mentor/advice-giver when its needed?

Birchfrost & Silverflame - I think these two, as their names indicate, could be quite polar opposites and I think that could provide an interesting dynamic between the two. Both are guarded by nature towards most cats, but they both show it differently. Silverflame is fiery and will lash and argue with any cat whom she has a disagreement with, even though that's more brutal honesty than unfairness. Still, I think this could either mark her an enemy or a friend, depending on whether they'd get along mentality wise or despise each other for it.

i think these two could have an adorable friendship. lilypaw would get annoyed with him, and then get all bossy and tell him where to go and how to get there. if fox was to go away all huffy at her, she'd probably wallow in self-pity before swallowing her pride and crawling back to him.

if he idolized her, even in the slightest, oh man, that would just inflate her ego and make her even more insufferable!

i definitely think a stand-in mentor could work. birch is so withdrawn and closed off, that he'd probably find it hard to be anything more with the older warrior, but i can definitely see him actively seeking out white when he is distressed/needs advice. just atlanta.

i agree with there being an interesting dynamic. it's hard to say how he'd really feel about her outspoken nature - he'd probably be intimidated by her tbh - and not know how to act around her? like, if he said something, would she yell at him? i think they could potentially be friends, once birch gets over his inital fear of her xD Dizzykins

Fox is a she ;D no biggie, but just so you know! And them getting all huffy with each other and then making up would be so effing adorable. I can definitely see fox doing her fair share of crawling back to lily after little arguments as well. she currently has an open thread in the birch glade, if you're interested in joining <3 snowy may drop in with hawkpaw as well, so it can be an apprentice party.

Birthfrost & Silverflame - If he was rude to her, she'd probably won't yell, she will however tell him off firmly. She's really argumentative, but she isn't the one to raise her voice a lot. If he's very rude however, she'll back up her arguments with claws. I think if they'd become friends and gain a mutual understanding how they tick, they'd probably could be friends. I think she'd valiantly chase away cats who bother Birchfrost then!

This announcement is being made with an extremely heavy heart, and we know it may not be a popular one. However, Alee and I have made the decision that we are going to be closing Chasing the Sun by the end of the month. Originally, we were going to wait till the end of the activity check before making the call either way, as no doubt some of you picked up from my introduction to the check itself. But, after seeing some of the most recent hiatuses and their updates, and talking with a few members who will not be continuing on the site, we’ve decided at this stage in time, it’s the right time to bring things to a close.

Chasing the Sun is a play-by-post roleplay based on the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. We are set in the original forest in an alternative universe from the books, where SkyClan were never forced from the forest and the characters we have known and loved have not existed. We have a 150-word minimum and a sandbox roleplay setting that does not have an overarching plot, only those that members form together. THUNDERCLAN VERSES BADGERS
Due to a change of high ranks that is to take place, this plot has been updated and modified. if you were originally involved, please make sure to check the thread and voice if you still want involvement as soon as possible! The Forest Prince is the the current thread leading into the start of this plot.

WIND/SHADOW VERSES ROGUES
Redstar, Rosestar and their fellow high ranks of WindClan and ShadowClan have met on the border of the clans and formed a truce, after it has become aware that a group of rogues has become a threat. Both leaders have addressed this issue in their clan meetings, with Rosestar setting the rule that until the rogues have been dealt with, cats are not to leave camp alone.

WINDCLAN - MEDICINE CAT PLOT
A significant change has taken place in the direction of this plot, and the main post has now been edited to reflect such. We are still looking for WindClan cats to be involved, so if you have a cat you’d like to have something happen to, places are still open.

SKYCLAN VERSES RIVERCLAN
With the border clash narrowly avoided by Pinestar’s intervention, steam has yet to ease, as the SkyClan patrol stand in camp to address the clan getting too ambitious. Meanwhile, with the change in leadership of RiverClan causing discomfort across the clan, there is no doubt that everyone is on edge. Another clash is imminent.
