Firefalcon- SkyClan WarriorFirefalcon’s hazel eyes drifted over the woodland expanse with almost boredom. She was on patrol once more- her own, not one ordered by the clan. Even in these trees’ shadows- she felt no cold, only an oppressive feeling of being surrounded. Her whiskers twitched as wind blew past her, curling around the trees like water. It was a nice day out- she was sure. Or at least she assumed it was nice, some cats could particularly find it negative if they looked to do. Her ear flicked at the thought, briefly wondering if there were any cats around who would think like that.
She briefly shook her head however, knowing she couldn’t afford to waste time with friends. She had to prove herself- or Pinestar would get rid of Bluefeather and her- and Bluefeather was much too sick now to leave SkyClan. Closing her eyes briefly to get rid of the loud screaming in her head- she tried to focus on her patrol. Firefalcon had to prove herself- and her blue fur had to be worn towards her bone to prove she was a warrior. It wasn’t a hard task- as they seemed accepting so far, but she only had to slip once and they would kill her.
Badgertail’s eyes haunted her for a moment before she murmured a ‘go away’ under her breath. She didn’t want to think of that monster. She didn’t want to tell anyone she was glad he was dead. That being said- the female warrior tried to push it away- push it all away to singularly focus on her task. She kept her pace, even with her eyes closed to pass over the sticks and the undergrowth with ease, taking slow and even breaths- before her ear twitched and she froze in place, her eyes opening.
A small mouse scurried in front of her, squeaking for its life before diving into the bushes past her- a cat following it but falling. She blinked, one paw raised up off the ground. It took a minute for her to unfreeze but she sat down, moving her hazel eyes to stare at where the mouse went. She could have said ‘it got away’, but she held back for that was redundant. “You’ll catch it eventually.” Firefalcon heard herself say- hoping the other cat realized it was just a mishap and there was plenty more prey. She didn’t need to be yelled at though- so she was well aware she could leave at any time.
