WARRIOR: BUTTERFLYNOSE (wip)

Butterflynose carries the curse of being a cat, unfortunately, emotionally abused by his father. From a young kit, he's had to deal with the sometimes overbearing pressure of being the only surviving cat of his litter. He's very sensitive, and is prone to getting his feelings hurt extremely easily. Similarly, though, he can read into the moods of others and is incredibly gentle with everyone, even those from other Clans. He's a pacifist through and through, and doesn't understand why situations can't be solved with diplomacy.

However, he'd never voice that aloud. In fact, this tom has trouble voicing any of his opinions for fear of being hated or ignored. One of his biggest fears is being shoved away from his Clan from the very inside; instead of banishment, it's pure ignorance of his existence. Banishment would insinuate that the Clan cared enough to make him leave. Indeed, Butterflynose suffers from a crushingly intense case of anxiety. When life overwhelms him, he tends to go running over the open moorland to help clear his mind...

Or it would, if he wasn't in constant danger of tripping over his own paws. Butterflynose is clumsy, and for a WindClan cat, it's humiliating. His father is one of the main cats who drilled it into his skull that it wasn't proper for a warrior to trip over his own paws all the time, and if he wanted to be leader one day, he'd need to stop running around like a bumbling kit. Of course, that only served to make it worse. Butterflynose would likely trip over his own tail, and he's come home empty-pawed after chases with rabbits due to his clumsiness.

Still, Butterflynose is forgiving and loving. For a cat who's been forced to focus on his own faults so much, he's more than willing to accept others' more than his own. It seems he's almost incapable of hate; rather, if you make fun of him, he only seems to fear you. Despite his loving nature, Butterflynose is rather closed off from those of his Clan. He's perfectly willing to work together, and he's far from a loner, but his father's influence hangs over his shoulder constantly, despite the grizzled warrior being long dead.

He hangs onto the past much more than he needs to; much of it dictates who he is, even the positive parts of him. His mother is responsible for his gentle side, while his father is the sole reason for his weak heart and fearful tendencies.

Now, one might call Butterflynose a coward for his unwillingness to participate socially, or for the way his tongue locks up in conversation, but one couldn't be farther from the truth. Butterflynose has a strong sense of right and wrong and will fight for it in rare moments of courage.
