Cottonfoot had never imagined that one day, and so soon no less, he would be a mentor. He had only been .a warrior for a moon after all At first he was so excited that he did not really understand what it truly meant for him. Soon after the first encounter with his apprentice would teach him all about how his life was changing.
Cottonfoot leaped forward from his place near the warrior's den, searching wildly for his apprentice. He had so much fun planned. He couldn't wait to take Hazelpaw out for the first time. One-on-one training was going to be the best thing ever, he could feel it. Flicking his tail in slight annoyance, he stopped and looked harder. He had not seem his apprentice anywhere. Ah, there he is! Cottonfoot had finally spotted the brown tabby talking with a few other aprentice's near their den. Running over and talking over the shecat who had been speaking, he blurted out loudly, "Hazelpaw! Come on we have a lot planned for today! Follow me!" The ginger tom turned on his huge white paws and raced out of camp, not bothering to check if Hazelpaw was following.
He raced out of the camp and ran, not slowing at all for the smaller tom's benefit, and did not stop until they where in the middle of the moor. Ahh, here we are." Cottonfoot said, sitting down and scratching his left ear.
