Miststorm had wished that the grumpy apprentice would learn to love the duties a warrior did. Miststorm knew of some unfaithful cats within the clan, and she didn't want Egretpaw to become one of them. The rude apprentice was indeed about to get a good lesson taught to him, a rant Miststorm had given to many of her own apprentices, and it was a rant she would give to many more. She wanted nothing more then strong and loyal members within her clan.
Miststorm hadn't let the fact that she was on a patrol slip her mind as she made conversation with her clanmate. The gray she-cat noticed something weird in the air. She bounced ahead making it so she came side to side with Kestrelheart and in front of Spottedowl and Egretpaw. She wanted to get closer to the scent, but it smelt of something she knew of, so she didn't know how to feel about it.
Before Miststorm could make up her mind about the questionable scent, Magpiestar had already called a warning to the cats within the patrol. intruders. prepare yourselves. invaders earn no leniency.
Miststorm noticed Spottedowl pass her to speak with Magpiestar, she had the exact same realization as Miststrom. The scent was no loner, it was someone who was known by both of the Riverclan warriors.
Miststorm didn't exactly know what was going to happen from here, but she was being lead by her wise leader and knew he would make the best choice. The gray she-cat kept herself low to the ground and awaited her orders. Weather or not Miststorm knew the cat or not, if Magpiestar ordered for her to attack. She would be ready.
