SWAN for his white pelt
PAW for his rank of apprentice
HEART for his compassion and outspokenness
PAW for his rank of apprentice
BASIC INFORMATION
A small, lanky white tom with wide amber eyes. He's currently 6 moons old, as an apprentice of WindClan. His mother is Frostfoot, and his father an unknown tom. His sexuality is undetermined, and he's not currently in any sort of romantic endeavor.
PERSONALITY
UTSPOKEN Swanpaw isn't one to keep his thoughts to himself. For better or for worse, if something is on his mind, you can be sure that it's going to be clear to everyone around him one way or another. This is both one of his redeeming qualities, as well as it is one of his more... obnoxious ones. Now, that isn't to say Swanpaw means to keep every other cat in the den awake late at night while he goes on to rant about his latest train of thought to whoever was unfortunate enough to get the nest right beside, he just doesn't quite understand how not everyone wants to hear him go on a tangent. Now, this also ties into his courageous personality. If there's something Swanpaw deems unacceptable, you can better believe that he'll be the first one to say something about it.
FRIENDLY There isn't a single cat in the forest that Swanpaw thinks can't be befriended. While he may come off a little strong in his bouncy, cheerful, grinning approach, Swanpaw is the type of cat who tries his best to get along with everybody and anybody- regardless of who they might be and what Clan they're from. And while he's certainly the type of cat who isn't hard to get along with, this could easily get him in trouble with cats who someone like him shouldn't be involved on accident. He's just so kind-hearted and optimistic that it can cloud his better judgement sometimes, and it makes it hard for him to realize that some cats just.... really aren't good at heart.
GENTLE Swanpaw is the type of cat who could spend all day in the nursery playing and telling stories to the kits. He's honestly harmless, still more of a kitten at heart than a Warrior who's ready to charge into battle to defend his Clan until his last breath. Swanpaw is the one who takes extra care to keep his claws sheathed during training with other apprentices and his mentor, and in the same vein, would be the one sitting next to anyone who was hurt enough in training to take a trip to the Medicine Cat's den, doing his best to comfort them.
CLUELESS Swanpaw is lead more by his heart than his head, and this could potentially land him in some very sticky situations. He honestly believes that everybody is good deep-down, and in his child-like nature, clings to that idea desperately. Any insults go flying right over his head, and horrible crimes can always be forgiven if the offender is truely sorry, in his eyes. The world to him is filled with good cats who make mistakes just like everybody else, and if this image were to be tarnished for whatever reason, there's no telling what would happen to Swanpaw.
EMOTIONAL As it was mentioned earlier, Swanpaw feels first and thinks second. He pours his entire heart and body into what he does and who he talks to, and when something doesn't goes the way he hopes it will he gets crushed. He's an optimist, and when it comes to seeing the true horrors that can and will come with the life of being a Warrior, it makes him absolutely terrified. He honestly can't understand how or why cats would do the awful things they do, and while he does is best to believe there's some good in those types of cats, it gets... hard to keep believing that.
PACIFIST As crazy as it may be, Swanpaw truly just... doesn't believe in fighting. He thinks that any issue can be solved through words, and while he'd defend himself in a life or death situation, he views fighting as the absolute last resort to any serious issue. This causes conflict when it comes to viewing himself as a Warrior later in life, and could potentially bring into question where his loyalty stands to his Clan.

HISTORY
Swanpaw was born the single living kit of a particularly stressful first time pregnancy to his mother Frostfoot. His mother always refused to announce who the father was, though she swore to StarClan itself that he was at fault for losing the other kits in the litter, calling him a liar and a fox-heart. From what Swanpaw gathered from the gossip was that his father was something of a short-lived romantic endeavor between the two young, inexperienced lovers. After hearing of Frostfoot's pregnancy, he supposedly ended their relationship as he wasn't ready to be tied down by fatherhood, and rejected the kits as his own altogether.
All the same, Frostfoot was a caring, and careful first-time mother who was very protective of her single kit, her ' little miracle' sent by StarClan. And while most first-time mothers are protective of their litter, Frostfoot tended to take things... a little too far. Horrified at the thought of losing her single baby (despite the fact he was just as healthy and strong as the other kits in the nursery), fretted over him every moment she got, using his smaller than usual size as an excuse to keep him holed up in the nursery, and shadow him whenever he'd go to play outside in the camp. Because of this, Swanpaw was never really integrated into the Clan as much as he could have been, putting him a little behind the other young cats socially.
Despite Frostfoot's dotting, Swanpaw couldn't be kept in the nursery forever. He became a proud apprentice as soon as he turned 6 moons old, much the his mother's distraught. He's doing his best to make up for all the time he was cooped up in the nursery, and is coming along excellently as a young, new apprentice. He's eager to please, and even more eager to make friends with the other apprentices his age. And while he may come off a little strong in his approach, he has a kind heart and treads with soft paws, one cat who always wears a smile on his face.
