Poppyheart was slowly getting use to becoming more independent; but she did not like it. As she slunk out of camp to get some fresher air, she could only feel more alone and vulnerable. Something could kill her out here, and no one would be able to hear her. Or at least, reach her in time. Maybe she was just paranoid, the ginger molly snorted something as she shook her head. Surely at these dark hours, with the ancestors out she'd be able to gaze up at them and pay her respects to fellow WindClan warriors. Luckily, she had no dead relatives or friends. Maybe that was the good thing about truly not having 'friends.' She wouldn't get hurt when they passed, as she thought to herself as she traversed the moors. Getting closer to the outlook, she paused every now and then to make sure no cat - or thing was following her. Every time she stopped, glanced back. She wanted to search for Rowan, or Thrushfoot. But, maybe the satisfaction or being able to see the stars was keeping her going. She wasn't exactly sure why she hadn't tucked her tail in between her legs like a dirty little dog and scampered back home to her nest.
She didn't want to go to sleep, that was for sure. The cold, nightly grass underneath her paw pads was a refreshment and some what kept her awake. Her dull yellow eyes studying the area a head of her, she was close. Her tail dragged along the grass as she forced herself to continue, this had to be worth it. She wanted to go back, but that would mean going to sleep. Her ears perked, glancing around as she came to a halt. She wanted to ask if someone was here, or just to hear her voice. But she remained silent, awkwardly coughing as she began to make her way up the rock that stood out from the rest. Once she made her way to the top with her limbs, and her four paws she slowly sat down. Wrapping her tail around her paws as her gaze searched WindClan's territory in the dark. It was exactly the same thing, just in the dark. She didn't understand the beauty of it, she murmured something silently. This was a waste of time, Poppyheart finally lofted her head up to the sky as she studied Silverpelt. Something she usually saw, but it was more heartwarming than usual as she heaved a sigh. Her nose twitching as she slowly began to sink down onto her stomach, ears twitching.
Her whiskers brushed in the faint breeze, her ears continued to twitch as she could swear something was coming up behind her. Maybe just her imagination, or the nightly breeze playing tricks on her? Poppyheart remained still, preparing to rise to her paws and retreat back.
