apprentice | riverclan | tom | 7 moons

summary:
birchpaw is 7 moons, apprentice of icemask and possibly one of the most obnoxious cats to ever grace riverclan. he loves asking questions, one right after the other. he also enjoys bossing other cats around, particularly those younger than him. he doesn't know when to stop talking, and when he gets excited, his words come out in a jumbled mess. intelligent conversation is not something birchpaw is good at. however, he is a very happy apprentice and always has a smile on his face.

friends:

the thing about being friends with birchpaw is you have to know how to handle him. because he can be bossy and whiny, it can be quite emotionally exhausting being around him. however, the fact that he is such a happy cat can make it a little easier in that regard, but definitely only cats with thick skins and who won't take his crap should consider being his friend. i can definitely see birchpaw having a couple of frenemies as well.

enemies:

these will be a little easier to come by than friends simply because he is excellent about rubbing cats the wrong way. it isn't that he does it on purpose, it's simply the fact that he is kind of abrasive. these would probably be pretty one sided only because birchpaw doesn't let a lot of things get to him. so even if you hate him with a fiery passion that burns deep within your loins, he would probably not care in the slightest. rivalries from other clans are always welcome too, of course.

crushes:

hello ladies! he clearly isn't looking for anything serious, considering he is only like, 7 moons old but that doesn't mean that he won't develop a crush on one of the lovely little she-cats he runs around with. there are a lot of opportunities here. love triangles, one sided. maybe break his heart a couple times. the possibilities are endless.

KICKS DOOR IN so Birchpaw and Smallpaw are clanmates and are the same age, so they probably grew up together as kits in the nursery, too! Smallpaw is painfully shy (and afraid of swimming) so I don't think she'd mind sticking around Birchpaw since he'd likely be willing to speak for her, even though his bossiness probably secretively irritates her. I think it'd be either really dramatic or give Birchpaw a kick in a tail he deserves if tiny, quiet Smallpaw eventually spoke up and told him to cut the crap.

(and who knows maybe Smallpaw could get a crush on him even though she finds him a little annoying sometimes.)

BIRCHPAW & EGRETPAW

with both of these boys being bossy, i think it might cause them to butt heads quite often, but i could also potentially see them as friends that argue good-naturedly and the like. so really it could easily be up to you and birchpaw how they'd react to one another. they're the same age so they would've grown together!

smallpaw && birchpaw
oh my god, this would be the most awkwardly cute thing in like ever. birchpaw would be totally thrown off by how shy she is and would more than make up for her lack of talking by never shutting up. if she ever called him out, he wouldn't know what to do xD it would definitely throw him for a loop.

egretpaw && birchpaw
birchpaw would definitely enjoy the arguing. i can definitely see them becoming friends. it might be a little rough at first but i think it would just make the friendship more interesting and fun to play out.
