Redfur of Shadowclan
[Introducing Redfur. Open to anyone who wants to talk to her! Takes place outside of the nursery.]
Redfur yawned, showing off a set of sharp white teeth as she did so. It was a luxurious yawn, much like the rest of this little lounge that she was taking. The red coated queen was stretched out to the side of the Shadowclan nursery, green eyes half closed. Sides rose and fell against a frame that was much thinner than it had been a few moons ago. Redfur was certainly healthy, but most of what went into her body had gone right back out in the form of milk for her rather large brood.
The queen gave a sigh and raised her gaze to the sky. They were weaning now. It meant more free time from the cramped nursery, more time to relax and fill her own bodily needs. Soon they'd be apprentices and Redfur would return to her life before children, the life of a warrior. She did miss that, even if these recent moons had been a wonderful experience.
A small purr escaped her throat when she thought about this. Yes, her children were growing into fine cats, and they would certainly make wonderful apprentices. The thought of racing alongside her children as warriors filled the she-cat's heart with joy. It would be a dangerous life, but she did love it so. And her offspring would too, if they were anything like their mother.
Redfur lowered her eyes and lifted a paw to her lips, beginning a wash. Her fur had dulled considerably as of late, likely due to lack of nutrients. She would soon take care of that. As she always told her family (mate included) looks were important. They were representing Shadowclan.
