tiny (paw) of thunder high
This was them, and it put Tiny at ease without much difficulty. It was familiar, fun, and brought down the awkwardness of the situation without any effort at all. There weren’t many people who managed to do that easily, but, Raven did. They were a funny, yet well-made match in that respect, for all their idiosyncrasies. As she finished reading, Tiny couldn’t help but just stare up at him, the smile not quite leaving her face, even as she reached up to his. It was the comfort in his presence that made everything okay.
"hey!" Tiny gave a small giggle as she grabbed her hand, twining their fingers, and once again, she was helpless to the heat of the small blush across her face. All because he was her best friend didn’t make movements like that any less likely to cause a blush. It was made easier when he moved to stand, tugging her up by their joined hand. She twisted around to make the movement easier, though still with a small huff. "Ugh, seriously? I think I got it pretty well memorized already. Uhh...something about hist and dead birds and catapults, right?"
Tiny laughed, and untangled their fingers in order to give him a light shove. "psh, I bet you're loving this huh! You're such a nerd!" Well of course she was. With another laugh, she stepped forward, hands beside her back, and the tips of her shoes pressed against his. “Well then, that makes you a nerd too doesn’t it?” The grin across her face seemed to widen, eyes bright. “You can’t deny you’re enjoying it too. Otherwise what was all that laughing about, huh?” Releasing her arms, she reached forward to prodding her fingers gently into his side.
“If we practice, then you might find even better parts to laugh at,” she added. Not that they really had all that much time left to do it there and then. Tiny stepped back after a moment, and turned toward her notepad and book, tossed across the ground near the tree’s roots. “We can do it at my place later, after this cheerleading practice, if you want? Dad said something about spending the day cooking, so there might be the promise of food?” She paused, picking up her own book, and his notepad, before turning around.
“You could always come to practice with me, if you wanted? Then we could walk together after that!”
