Forest and Melody were passing through a section of forest. They made sure no clan owned it but they forgot to make sure it wasn’t the property of a rogue or another loner before making a birthing den. Within two days of finding and making their den Melody gave birth to a litter of five kittens. They planned to move out as soon as the kits were old enough to travel. They didn’t dare stay in one spot for too long for fear of trouble.
When a week passed after the kits were born Forest began to think they were home free. But a couple days later a group of rogue cats appeared during the night while they slept one female and two males. They attacked as the slept. The two toms attacked and pinned Forest while the she-cat attacked and pinned Melody before they ever had a chance to react. Once Forest was pinned one of the other toms walked over to their kits “well what have we here. Four helpless, harmless newborn kits maybe a week old.” He bent his head and nudged one of the kits roughly as it blindly tried to find their mother making the kit cry out in fear. “The name is Shrapnel that’s my brother Flint and this is my sister Helena. This is our territory you have trespassed. Normally we would have killed you all when you first came here about a week ago but my mate had just had kits and I dare not leave her alone with the newborns for fear another cat may attack. But we dare not allow you stay any longer stealing our prey.”
Forest struggled to free himself as Shrapnel spoke but Flint’s grip was to tight and his cuts were hurting something fierce. The one above his right eye was bleeding in his eyes blinding him. ‘Please don’t hurt our kits, we’ll do anything just don’t hurt them.”
Flint chuckled this had been what they expected them to say. He turned to see his sister and saw her smiling as well. He wanted to speak but dare not bring his brothers wrath down on himself. Shrapnel had defeated each of them in battle to claim leadership and could have killed them both if he had wanted to.
Shrapnel glared daggers at his brother when he began to laugh and let out an angry hiss that quickly quieted him. When all was quiet once more he purred and circled the five kits. “Very well I will let you and your kits live on one condition.” He swiped his paw out and grabbed the largest, healthiest looking kit in the group. “This one stays with us the remaining four will stay with you.”
Melody yowled in anguish and began struggling more than ever she even hissed and swiped at the female named Helena a few times. “No, you can’t have one of our kits. My sweet Dawn won’t go with you.
Forest keened softly after hearing that these rogues wanted their first born kit to keep as their own servant. He hated the idea but unlike his mate he thought about it. He despised the idea but if they were to escape with the lives of the other four kits as well as their own they had to agree on it. “Melody we must agree for the lives of the other four kits as well as Dawn’s life. Should we all die when giving up one of our kits will save us all.” He sighed and was still, “take her but remember your promise your are not to touch my other kits or Melody and myself. We will take the remaining four and leave as soon as the sun is up.”
Shrapnel listened as the two felines spoke, the mother obviously disagreed with it but the father saw since and agreed with it. “Agreed but as soon as the sun begins to rise into the sky you will leave or we will be back and this time no one will survive.” With that he roughly grabbed the female kit by the scruff with his teeth and turned and darted out of the den leaving his siblings there to hold them so they didn’t try and run after him. Once a certain amount of time had passed his brother and sister would follow going two different ways to make sure the parents didn’t try and follow them.
During everything Dawn was to frightened and confused to understand what had happened. And she would soon forget about her family, or the fact that she had once been loved and cared for. Over the next few months her life would be turned into a living hell. She would have to fight for any milk from Shrapnel’s mate Bastet. If the three older kits didn’t push her away and force her to wait Bastet would shove her away when she was tired of feeding. She was giving enough to survive but only to survive.
By the time Dawn turned a moon old she had begun working for the family. Every morning she was forced to clean out the old bedding and find and fetch new bedding before she was allowed to eat anything. If the bedding wasn’t made to their liking she wouldn’t be allowed to eat that day so Dawn quickly learned how to get out all the water out so the nests were nice and dry. She also had to search for any thorns or roots to make sure none had gotten caught in the moss. For the next three moons this was how her days were spent. Cleaning out the old moss and bracken and dragging them to a discard area. That alone took half the morning. Then finding and gathering moss to carry back to the dens which took the rest of the morning and part of the afternoon. By the time she was four moons old she had forgotten about her birth family. As far as Dawn knew this was all she had ever known. The rogues told her they had found her in the forest abandoned and that she would be dead if they hadn’t taken mercy on her. She owed them her life and should be thankful for everything she had because of them.
When Dawn was five moons old Flint came to her after she had finished making the nests for the day and led her to the forest and taught her how to hunt mice, rabbits and squirrels and other prey. So from that day on as soon as she finished cleaning out the old bedding and finding new bedding she would hunt until she had enough for everyone to eat and be full. By the time she got finished with all her chores it was usually past sunset before she herself was finally allowed to eat her first and only meal of the day. Because of how little Dawn eats she is very skinny. For the next several months this was how her life went cleaning nests, finding new bedding, hunting for Shrapnel's family, hunting for self, bed, wake up, start all over again. Dawn is now twelve moons old.
Open Positions
Shrapnel - Leader of the family - very cruel, vicious, loves fighting, isn’t afraid to force others to do his bidding.
Flint - Shrapnel’s brother - cruel (not as cruel as his brother but still cruel), intelligent, obedient, a bit on the lazy side
Helena - Shrapnel’s sister - can be cruel, not exactly bright (a bit slow), very obedient to Shrapnel, works hard to please Shrapnel
Bastet - Shrapnel’s mate - cruel and in Dawn’s case uncaring, loves a good fight, loves her kits very much, likes making Shrapnel happy
Fang - Shrapnel and Bastet’s first born son - persona open, 13 moons old
Crescent - Shrapnel and Bastet’s daughter - persona open , 13 moons
Blood - Shrapnel and Bastet’s son - persona open, 13 moons
From the above group there will be a few deaths when Dawn is freed. Among those that will be killed is Shrapnel though he won’t go down without taking someone with him.
Flint will be the first to be killed he’ll go down rather quickly since he’ll be the first to be attacked while he’s on guard.
And one of the kits Fang, Crescent or Blood will be killed as well. Probably Fan or Blood.
When Dawn is about seven moons old I’d like her to be rescued by a group of cats they can be loners, rogues or even clan cats. She’s four moons old right now so I would be playing her as a slave/servant for three months. It could even be Dawns own family that comes to the rescue if anyone is interested in playing Forest, Melody, Ripple (M), Moth (F), Shadow (M), and Pebble (F)
Rescue Party (should probably be at least seven one for each cat that’s part of the rogue family)

I was thinking that one of her rescuers could probably be about her age and that she becomes good friends with that cat and it would be cool if they eventually became mates. But that’s just something that I thought might be neat it doesn’t have to actually happen.
I will not be making Dawn until at least two or three of her captors have been claimed.
