Possible trigger warning, suicide.
So basically I'm going to be creating a Riverclan kit (Spiderkit?) who is a little slower in the head. He's going to be sweet as can be and rather normal, it's just everything he learns has to occur at a much slower pace. He needs instructions repeated a few times before he can fully grasp what is being asked of him. His mama Crowsong (sybil ) is incredibly loving and knows that her son learns differently than all the other kits so she works with him to help him understand and keep his brain working and learning. Little Spiderkit will one day ask his mom what a 'crow' is. And she will explain to him how it's a delicious piece of prey that knows how to soar through the sky to escape danger. The thought will fascinate the young baby and he will become obsessed with the idea. How fantastic would it be if he could just...escape. He knew he was different and felt like his true calling was in the air. He wanted to soar away on dark wings and never come back. He would ask his mother to explain how birds learn to fly to him. She would say baby birds would jump from the nests to learn. So that was the next logical step, jumping off things.
I'm thinking that will start around the beginning of his apprenticeship when he can really explore the territory and climb trees to jump out of the branches. Eventually his mom and mentor (available) will notice him coming home with little injuries, like a twisted shoulder or a sprained paw and they would get a little suspicious. Maybe the mentor would go to talk to Crowsong? Idk how that comes about can be determined by whomever plays the mentor and Sybil. They could potentially confront the little tom and ask him what he's been doing and try to get him to stop doing something so mousebrained. At this point I feel like he will sort of break, that was something he longed for, and the two cats who were supposed to support him the most were here trying to talk him out of this silly notion. At that point he would be incredibly resentful of them both and sneak away in the middle of the night (or whenever really) and when it's found that he's not where he is supposed to be maybe they take it to Magpiestar (stag if u want to be involved), or maybe they've mentioned it to him before but now they're scared cause he's actually gone. And Magpiestar can make the decision to send a search party out or whether to let the apprentice figure it out himself. And if they don't want to involve the leader they could honestly go out themselves or with a couple of Spiderpaw's apprentice friends at the time. Cause he's friendly and isn't going to be solely focused on flying he will have friends (hopefully lol).
Anyways yea during the time that he's been gone Spiderpaw will be distraught and will be thinking things along the lines of 'I'll show them, I know I can fly this is what I've always been meant for. Starclan wants this for me.' and he will find the highest tree in their territory and climb as high as he can. He's going to fully and completely believe that this is what he was destined for. So he's not going to be upset when he jumps, he will feel joy, but none the less he will die. It's up to everyone who they want to find him and if it's something they want to tell the clan (more specifically if his mother will not want others to know about him or if she feels no shame). But anyways I'm looking for a mentor for this young cat. All I ask is that they're maybe compassionate towards the young cat and feel some sort of affection towards him. He wouldn't learn a thing with a harsh mentor with no patience, he still will learn some apprentice skills but I'd like them to develop a relationship through learning how to work together. And he would need some friends maybe who help him practice things he's having trouble working through. Honestly anyone who interacts with him and have a cat they want directly affected by this situation.
tldr; slow young cat believes he can fly and feels completely obsessed with the idea. his mother and mentor try to put a stop to it so he doesn't get hurt. he snaps and runs off and ends up dead because he's trying to prove that he can fly.
