Good first impression (Tag: Miststorm)

Miststorm - Riverclan - Shecat

Today was the first day of Miststorm's next apprentice. She got up from her nest and made her way out of the warriors den. Once she was out of the den she stretched her muscles letting out a big sized yawn and opened her faint amber eyes letting them adjust to the morning sunlight.
Miststorm looked over towards the apprentice den where she hoped to already find her new apprentice. Much to her liking she found her apprentice sitting ready to go. She thought to herself. 'Maybe this one will be easy.'
Miststorm padded slowly over to Amberpaw and blinked her eyes in greetings. Before turning towards the exit of the clearing that would lead to the future land Amberpaw would be protecting. "Lets out." And with those words she was making her way towards the exit. "You'll be learning the territory today." With every statement her voice was strong and nearly impossible not to hear.

Miststorm and Amberpaw made their way out of the camp, Miststorm just slightly ahead of her apprentice. She wanted to be close to her apprentice just as she had been with her apprentices before and with her own mentor. But the first day wasn't the day to stop and chat. There was things that needed to be done and many things for Amberpaw to learn, and it was Miststorm's job to make sure Amberpaw learned them.
"There are three main parts of Riverclan that you need to know.The Gorge, The River, and the Twoleg Bridge." Miststorm knew what to say and how to say it. Simple and straight to the point. She started to head towards The River.
"We'll start with The River. It is a source of food and protection to the Clan. Sometimes, it is peaceful while other times, it floods."

The walk to the river was a quiet one. Her apprentice wasn't a very wild one. That didn't bother Miststorm at all, the only thing is, she just hoped that Amberpaw will be excited and willing to learn.

Once the two reached the river Miststorm noticed Amberpaw go stick a paw into the river. Miststorm was glad her apprentice was pleased with the water, as a Riverclan cat you had to be. The river could be a very scary place, many young cats have been hurt and or scared by the water. There was an important question that had to be asked. "How is your swimming."

The nercery was next to a body of water, so the kits could get use to the water and the older ones could practice to swim. It could be scary when the water starts to overflow but the clan prepares for those sort of things.

Miststorm sat beside her apprentice at the side of the river. Awaiting Amberpaw's reply.

Miststorm was hoping to hear that her apprentice was handling her own against the harsh waves. It would be one less thing the two would have to focous on. But sadly she didn't hear what she had wanted. Both of her last two apprentices had been pretty good at swimming, so it was never anything she really had to teach. But it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, it would just mean they would have to work hard.

"Thats alright. Just be prepared to work hard so you dont fall behind the other apprentices." Miststorm's voice was calm and starn as always. "You dont want to still be learning how to swim while all your den mates are learning to hunt and fight." With her last words her voice had harden a bit. She looked down at her reflection in the river thinking of her first time out. But she didn't ramble on her thoughts long before she stood up and was ready to move on to the next spot.

"Now to the Twoleg Bridge" She began on her way, trusting that Amberpaw would follow her. After they had made a good amount of distance she thought to inform her apprentice of the border not too far away. "Not far from where we are now is the border with Thunderclan. At the moment we don't have the Sunning rocks. But dont worry, the land will be ares again, where it rightfully belongs." Miststorm wanted to make sure that Amberpaw would grow to be strong and proud of her clan.
