the steady breeze continued to blow as it had for most of the morning, the light shining on the moor, and a calmness that lasted for hours. things couldn't seem to have gotten worse or better from the moment that she was in, and she couldn't give up the hope that the breaths that they were breathing would lead to something more dignified for her clan. with a flick of her tail, the windclan leader, redstar, casted a sideways glance at her white pelted apprentice with a smile. "mallowpaw, are you ready to start the day's training?" redstar asked serenly, the tranquility of the area making her mind as mellow as she'd probably felt in the longest while.
mallowpaw had been her apprentice for the past moon, and from a certain point of view, redstar could easily see both of her past apprentices within the white she-cat. she had the cheery and bright-eyed point of view and personality that seemed to wholeheartedly be seen in that of thorntalon; while the feisty and bad-mouthed form could be exactly that from spottedice. however, mallowpaw was still young and redstar had all the faith that she had in starclan that the young she-cat could become a wonderful and respected warrior. with everything going on with the rogues that had been spotted, redstar had neglected her duties of training her own apprentice and thus, had a lot to make up for it.
she wasn't above the fact that mallowpaw had probably spent time with her siblings to learn some moves, and thus, probably spoken ill of her about neglecting her training. that was something that redstar didn't want to think about or know but the reality of it was that it had happened and she had to suffer the consequences of her own actions. "i know it's been a while since i've taking you out, and for that, i apologize," the ginger she-cat stated with another flick of her tail, blue aze on her apprentice. "despite not having a proper excuse, i promise you that we will train regularly to get you ready to be a proud warrior." redstar did feel bad that she had chosen to deal with the rogues above her apprentice and sighed inwardly at the fact that she couldn't admit that she couldn't do both, but here she was, attempting for a second time to train this young apprentice.
"thus, it is your choice today," the she-cat meowed, nodding at her apprentice. "what would you like to learn today?"
