amberstone of riverclan
(amberstone) is a cat of complex personality
dependable, cocky, faith, loyal, proud, stubborn, uplifting, worrier
Though she is smaller than average for an adult cat, Amberstone isn't the kind of cat to underestimate. She is fast, tough, and fearless when it comes down to a fight and facing death in the face. Regardless of her fighting skills Amberstone much prefers to avoid such things and would make it as a last resort. She much prefers talking things out and keep the peace than spill unnecessary bloodshed as she knows only too well what that could bring.
When she's hurt or sick Amberstone would be a bit proud and hide the pain. She would pretend it's fine or not as bad as it really is. To her it's not so much as pride but as principle. She doesn't want to seem weak and at the same time doesn't want others to worry about her. If others are sick or injured she would let them go before her even if that means she could die. Amberstone can be quite stubborn on this and next to impossible to persuade. She loves her Clanmates and worries for them more than herself. To her, her Clanmates lives are far more important than her own.
You bet you can depend on Amberstone to get things done. She would not hesitate on making decisions and is intelligent enough to make her own conclusions. In dire or tight situations if there is no one in authority to lead she would take that spot only to calm her Clanmates and keep the hope alive. No matter how bad the situation is Amberstone's faith in her Clanmates, in her Clan, and in StarClan would remain adamant. In these dark and difficult situations Amberstone would often try to lift her Clanmates spirits and hopes. She especially finds making witty comments and banter to make others smile part of doing that.
Some may think Amberstone doesn't take things seriously sometimes. She makes witty comments and cause banters especially in good situations. However, Amberstone does take things seriously. She just wants to keep the light and spirits alive. Amberstone also comes across as confident, even cocky sometimes. Whatever she is Amberstone isn't the kind of cat to give up. Not on her Clanmates, not on her Clan, and not on her family. She listens to her Clanmates views most of the time and though she may not come across it at sometimes Amberstone always worries, not for anything else but for her Clanmates.

KIT
Goldenrose was given the news that her mate died after giving birth to two ginger she-kits. They both were small and didn't seem like they would survive the night. After she was told that Eaglefeather was dead something broke inside the golden ginger she-cat.
Amberstone's life was anything but easy right to the time she was born. Much to everyone's surprise Goldenrose went into early labor. Right at the same time Eaglefeather was out leading a hunting patrol and Falconbeak, Eaglefeather's best friend went out to find him. Eaglefeather was a senior warrior and Goldenrose was a new warrior when they became mates. They didn't care about the age difference, all that mattered was that they loved one another and wanted to make a family together. Sadly that wasn't to happen.
Eaglefeather and his hunting patrol were attacked by a fox. Falconbeak arrived in time to help the patrol but with such a small patrol things quickly turned to the worst. The fox overwhelmed the patrol of three warriors including Falconbeak and one apprentice. The second apprentice in the patrol went to go get help but never made it back in time. The fox severely injured all the cats and had turned to kill Falconbeak. Mortally wounded already Eaglefeather stood up to protect his friend which costed his life. Reinforcements arrived soon after the fox killed him and drove it away.
Goldenrose was given the news that her mate died after giving birth to two ginger she-kits. They both were small and didn't seem like they would survive the night. After she was told that Eaglefeather was dead something broke inside the golden ginger she-cat. That night, her dark ginger daughter she named Gingerkit died. Thinking her other daughter, Amberkit, would die soon and unable to bear the pain Goldenrose stepped out of the nursery, went out of camp and disappeared.
Though small and weak Amberkit mewled for her mother and woke the others in the nursery. One of the queens Heronheart brought the kit to her and with the medicine cat's help kept her alive. Her immune system grew stronger day by day and was sick less often. At her third moon Amberkit was allowed to play with other kits including her sister Sloekit. Amberkit knew nothing about her birth mother but thought Heronheart was her real mother and Sloekit her real sister. Heronheart hid the fact that she wasn't Amberkit's birth mother only because she deeply loved her like her own kit and didn't want Amberkit to grow up thinking Goldenrose abandoned her.
APPRENTICE
Amberpaw wouldn't listen and in one border patrol she caused a fight with WindClan by the gorge. Her mentor got seriously hurt in that fight and her mother Heronheart died, falling down the cliff.
Amberkit was named Amberpaw a week after Sloekit. Her mentor was Falconbeak who had already been part of Amberpaw's life. After Eaglefeather's death Falconbeak took it upon himself to look after his daughter. He had told Amberpaw a lot about her father, how he was a fierce loyal warrior with a big heart. Amberpaw dreamed of her father and wished oh so much to follow in his pawsteps. Eventually she gained her father's dream on becoming leader of RiverClan. She wasn't sure how or when she did but all she knew was that she did.
With Falconbeak's help Amberpaw learned to become a warrior. She wanted to be a good warrior but thought in order to be one you'd have to be a good fighter. Amberpaw trained harder on fighting techniques. Falconbeak felt that Amberpaw was heading down a dark path and tried to persuade her that fighting isn't what makes a good warrior but the heart of one. Amberpaw wouldn't listen and in one border patrol she caused a fight with WindClan by the gorge. Her mentor got seriously hurt in that fight and her mother Heronheart died, falling down the cliff. Amberpaw was heartbroken and blamed herself for her mother's death and her Clanmates injuries. She was punished for what she did and accepted the punishment fully.
Her sister, Sloepaw and her always had a close relationship but after Heronheart died Sloepaw blamed her sister and ceased to talk to her. It hurt but Amberpaw accepted it. She gave up her dream to be like her father and become Clan leader right then. After all what right did she have now. Falconbeak saw this and comforted her. He told her that even Eaglefeather made mistakes, but the point was by learning from those mistakes. Amberpaw listened to her mentor and decided then that she wouldn't cause anymore fights, but instead she would try to prevent them. Through the moons of her apprenticeship Amberpaw trained less on fighting techniques and more so on hunting techniques.
WARRIOR
She told him a warrior has to know when to fight and when not to. That a warrior isn't someone who fights to show they are strong but someone who protects.
By twelve moons Sloepaw was given the name Sloethorn for her spunky and prickly personality and along side her was Amberstone who received that name because of her undying faith, stubbornness and loyalty. Sloethorn still wouldn't talk to her sister no matter how much Amberstone wished to make things right between them. Still, Amberstone decided she would never give up. She would continue to try and earn her sister's forgiveness no matter how long it would take.
By seventeen moons Amberstone received her first apprentice Jackalpaw. He was spunky and eager to prove himself. Amberstone saw that like her he was prone to fighting and tried telling him that fighting isn't what makes a warrior. He refused to listen like she did back then and that only made her more determined. She brought him to the gorge where her mother died and told him her story. It was a shock to learn that his mentor had caused such a fight and that cats die. Amberstone made it clear to him that fighting is not a game, it isn't glorious and it brings pain and blood. She told him a warrior has to know when to fight and when not to. That a warrior isn't someone who fights to show they are strong but someone who protects.
Jackalpaw heeded his mentor's words and as the moons went by learned what she meant about fighting only bringing pain after his brother died from a fox attack. Amberstone comforted her apprentice through the time of grief. At the end of his apprenticeship Jackaltail became a warrior and was renamed Jackaltail. It made Amberstone proud of her former apprentice and a few moons later received a second apprentice named Fishpaw. She trained her too the same way she trained Jackaltail but it was also easier with her. In leafbare Falconbeak who retired to the elder's den moons before caught whitecough and passed away soon after. Amberstone grieved for him for he wasn't just her former mentor but was also like a father to her. She swore she would follow his teachings and protect her Clanmates with every ounce of her being.
