The sun was high in the sky, the clouds were thin but dancing in a way that could only be peaceful across the sky, and even as one of Whitetip’s paws slipped under him, and he fell forward and face-planted straight into the ground, the black and white tom could not find it in himself that to be anything but excited for the day. His heart was singing as loudly as every other part of his body (okay, his nose now not in a very good way, but he paid that no mind), and that was good enough for him! After all, how often did Whiteitp get to spend time with all three of his siblings at once? Not very often, seemed to be the only answer.
Untangling his paws, he shoved himself back to his feet, and carefully placed them well and truly apart, attempting to find any sort of balance that he could. Yet, even in doing that, the tremor that shook his body made it ever so slightly harder. Oh well. “Onward and upward!” He meowed loudly, looking back toward his sister’s, a grin across his face. They’d been lucky enough to be allowed to do their own thing for the day. Swiftfoot had wanted Blackwolf on a patrol, and Whitetip volunteered to go with her. With Mallowpaw free of training with Redstar, she was given permission to tag along, and it only made sense to get Flurrypaw out of the medicine cat’s den. Just turned out that meant they all got time together! Which, it felt like moons since something event close to it had happened.
The warriors forced the thought free of his mind, and gave his pelt a little shake, before pressing on, one wobbly movement followed by the next. Criss-crossed, uneven steps carried his forward, yet his bright amber eyes held nothing but enjoyment and energy, all Whitetip would ever need to be happy with the world. “So, come on Mallowpaw, let’s see your tracking skills! Have we got any rabbits nearby?” He called, pausing for a moment, before adding, “and, Flurrypaw! Re there any herbs in the area? We can always grab some of those for y’ to take back!” Bouncing forward a few steps, before swaying a few to the right, he twisted his head around to find Blackwolf, amber eyes bright. “There’s gotta be some of both around here, right?” Outlook rock wasn’t necessarily the best place to hunt, but, hey, it gave him a point to sit, while the others were a little more useful. Not that he intended to do nothing. A hum rumbled in the tom's chest as they pressed on, his gaze refocusing on the rocks ahead.
