You've Made Me Queen [Alee]

There was so much Stormfrost wanted from life, though it seemed he'd always been destined to catch the blunt end of the stick. From Batwing's slimy pranks, to his very few friendships outside of his rather admittedly insane family, it felt nice to be talking with a cat - a beautiful molly no less - that for once didn't share his bloodline.

"Here. Follow me." As she emerged from the hollow, Stormfrost gave one big pounce and thrust himself up the tree. His claws hooked into the flaking bark, long talons leaving deep gouges in the dry wood, and he hefted himself up further, looking rather awkward as he clung for dear life to the trunk. He'd never been a very good climber; he was heavy and unusually large, even for a tomcat of his stature, and his weight seemed to tug him laboriously downwards. Pushing up with his hind legs, he managed to make it to the very top after a few near misses (much to his embarrassment) and, thick fur now knotted with leaves, dirt and burrs, he finally came to emerge on the very highest branch.

Alright, now this was why he hated climbing. He was a fussy cat, and he'd worked hard on grooming himself this morning. Now he looked as ruffled as a fox. With a disgruntled snort he tried not to let his messy pelt drag him down too much. After all, this was perfect! He'd finally found another to share his true self with. And, perhaps sometime in the future, something more also.

He'd always desired for a family. Nothing appealed more to Stormfrost than the idea of raising kits, playing with them by the Nursery and teaching them the elaborate ways of ShadowClan. But no, he was getting ahead of himself; he shouldn't get too excited. He was too headstrong, too romantic, always willing to jump into something the moment it seemed to show promise.

Instead he looked down at the murky floor of the marshes, his whiskers twitching with amusement. "Come on up! I bet you'll love the view, it's simply magnificent!"
