Quite The Family [Creekwhisper]

once he'd brought down a fat squirrel, a blackbird, and two mice with his stealthy paws, creekwhisper made haste back to camp. it was a lovely day, the breeze was light and the sun was warm on his gray fur, but there were things far more important to him than hunting. the small gray tom was light on his feet and incredibly quiet, and as such hunting was something he had a knack for. but even the most promising hunt couldn't keep him away from his family for long.

with his stature it would take all of his strength to drag the heavy squirrel back to camp, so it was lucky that he'd caught the rodents and blackbird close to home and had already dropped them on the fresh kill pile earlier that morning. he put his back and shoulder muscles into it and began the work of hauling the creature, half his size, home to cloverflower and their kits.

when he'd attained the sunny clearing, surrounded with tall, strong trees, he made his way across camp to the nursery. creekwhisper's blue eyes lit up when they met the flame point's gaze, and he gracefully let the catch drop to her paws. "good morning, beautiful." the tom meowed softly, before brushing whiskers with cloverflower. "how are you feeling?" he asked gently, assessing her for any sign of distress. "getting restless, i imagine."
