Still around but going to be a bit slow on replies!

Just an update, kind of the worst timing, but my eldest feral cat seems to be taking a nosedive for the worst health wise and if she doesn't start taking an interest in food we're going to have to put her down. I've found like three teeth just falling out of her head and she seems to have an infection and with her lungs scarred from smoke and fire she wouldn't survive getting the rest taken out. So I'm stuck in a rock and a hard place and I'm just doing everything to make her comfortable. I know there's a /lot/ of meetings going on site wise and I'm going to try to throw everyone in there, but please understand that I am wanting to spend some time with her as much as possible and she kind of won't leave my bathroom. Makes it a bit awkward to post. I'm going to keep up on Sparrow threads as much as possible, and again I am so sorry for this. I am still around and I'm not leaving, and feel free to PM me with whatever you need and I'll get to it asap.

My cat sadly passed- and it wasn't a very pretty thing either. I'm doing my best to get back into writing, but I'm still going to put myself on 'slow' for a bit, just to make sure I don't throw myself into something I shouldn't. I have finals in about a month- so I'm also studying for those.

Finals are done- but we found a tiny babu kitten who we first thought had a crush injury and needed to be put down. We find out it's an abscess, and there's pus everywhere. We clean it up, give him antibiotics. Mason-Dixon (We originally called him Dixie because he literally has no boy-parts to speak of that actually confused two vets for a moment, so I don't feel bad misgendering him for like a week.) - however without the swelling, the broken bones decided to fall out of his wound. That was today. I got to see what kitty tarsal bones look like (I still have them since the vet thought that me learning cat bones was a good thing) and he is getting his leg amputated since there's no way to save it.

Besides being slightly proud that I've managed to keep him going and the doctors were amazed that besides this that he was healing and had no infection nor fever- he's going to come home tomorrow as a tripod. Considering I do not know how taking care of a recovering tripod-cat is like, I can't promise that my slowness now is going to increase or decrease. I...never had a three legged cat before so I'm at a loss of what to do.

That being said, if you have any words of wisdom, let me know so I can help this little guy out. We worked with a rescue place to get his leg amputated so we're going to try to be raising the funds to pay them back cause...amputation is really expensive even on a 10 week old cat. ._. Like half of his bones were missing, I would have thought it would have been less expensive, but yeah. Any advice would be amazing to hear and I hope to be on here and replying like mad again very soon. Wish Mason luck! (I'll try to post a picture when he gets home)
